I have been a member of Hope Chest since January 2017 which makes this my 8th year on the team. Hope Chest has helped me cope with breast cancer and its consequences, encouraged me to become physically stronger and taught me how to be on a team. As a team and as individuals we support each other when needed and take pleasure and joy in each others accomplishments. I have never been stronger or had so many friends. Hope Chest takes a negative life experience and helps us to find something positive in ourselves because of it. As my daughter once said to me after my surgery and treatment - find something to do that you couldn't have done had it not been for your breast cancer diagnosis. When I saw the Hope Chest post card in my doctor's office I knew dragon boating was the thing. I was recently told by my chiropractor that compared to my "cohorts" I am in terrific shape. (Thank you Hope Chest) By cohorts I guess he meant old women - well so be it! Life is good and I have many adventures to come. I am today asking for your financial support for our team. Thank you for your love, friendship and past support.
