I fought breast cancer with pain meds, sarcasm, and an obscene amount of pedialyte — and now I’m in a boat, paddling my ass off for every woman who’s ever been blindsided by the words “you have cancer.”

I’m raising money for Hope Chest Buffalo, a nonprofit that provides real, hands-on support to breast cancer patients and survivors in Western New York.

We’re talking:
• Free fitness and wellness classes designed for women recovering from treatment
• Paddling on a dragon boat team to rebuild strength, community, and mental grit
• Peer support from women who actually get it
• A reason to move, heal, and laugh again — even when everything hurts

Hope Chest is where women come to feel strong again — physically, emotionally, and unapologetically. It’s not about toxic positivity or pink ribbons slapped on everything.

Hope Chest helped me find movement again when my body didn’t feel like mine. It has showed me that survivorship isn’t just about scans and follow-ups. It’s about showing up in your post-surgery, post-chemo, post-absolute-chaos body and saying, “I still get to do this.” They remind you you’re not broken — you’re just rebuilding. And now I’m in the boat, paddle in hand, scars and all.

This cause is personal. I’m paddling for me, for the women I’ve met on this journey, and for the ones still in the fight.

So here’s your call to action:

Donate. Because breasts deserve better care, better resources, and better outcomes.
Donate. Because strength after cancer shouldn’t be a luxury.
Donate. Because you believe in community that actually shows up.
Donate. Because you love me.
Donate. Because I’m out here paddling like hell — and it means something.

Let’s raise some hell and some money. Hope is real. The water is cold. And I’m coming in hot.
