The most difficult part of the Breast Cancer journey for me was finding the new normal after treatment. I found this new normal when I joined Hope Chest Buffalo. Hope Chest is a Breast Cancer Survivors support group that focuses on promoting physical and emotional healing. “Exercise to Empower Yourself”. I started back at Catalyst gym taking Dawn’ Hope Chest Class. I was frustrated at first because I lost all my strength and flexibility. I had never seen my body look like this and I barely recognized myself. While this was shocking for me to see . I tried to embrace it. I listened carefully to Dawn’s positive words. I leaned in and instead of focusing on how I looked, I tried to focus on how I felt. I felt proud of my scars. With time, patience, and resilience I have come back stronger than before!!!!.
In the mornings. I stretch and think about my day and how grateful I am to be alive, feeling every little piece of me. I also meditate and do mantras and affirmations. Above all, one of the biggest changes is that I look for balance. I try to be flexible now. Some days I’m more flexible than other days??.

In the mornings. I stretch and think about my day and how grateful I am to be alive, feeling every little piece of me. I also meditate and do mantras and affirmations. Above all, one of the biggest changes is that I look for balance. I try to be flexible now. Some days I’m more flexible than other days??.
